Next, the assembly was a breeze. The only parts to assebled are the handle bars, front wheel, pedals, seat, and pumping up your tires. After that its all adjustments and double checking. The only tools you will need is a 15mm wrench for the wheels, a set of metric allen wrenchs, and a wrench for the brakes (forgot size). Adjusting the brakes is pretty straight forward. They're are basic side pull brakes. They do leave a little to be desired in the stopping realm but hey, they work. Some nice pads might make a good upgrade at some point. I went around and checked the rest of the bike to make sure everything was tight and ready to go.

First off, the bike shipped the first business day possible. I ordered it Friday evening and I had tracking information sent to me first thing Monday. It arrived one week later. I live in CA so it took the full 5 business days to receive it. It was a long week since I was really looking forward to getting the bike. The bike was in perfect condition and well packed for shipping, Two thumbs up on shipping and customer service.

Finally, the bike rides awesome. I love the simplicity of the bike. No derailers to adjust and extra cables running everywhere. The gearing is perfect! You have to put a little weight into the first few pedals to get moving but once your going it is the right gearing for flat land commuting. Hills would be a little tough but managable if they weren't to steep. The only thing I would recommend is a new saddle. Again, it works and this bike is still a great value and awesome bike. I have added a new saddle, a cage and water bottle, a pump, and rear light for night riding, and soon I will add a headlight. I removed all of the stickers and put a few of my own brand labels on it. Looks nice and clean. I ordered the black 54cm version and love the satin black finish. I am 5' 8" and 165lbs and the 54cm is perfect. I've had it for less than 24 hours and have already put about 20 miles on it.

Overall this was a great purchase, I love the bike and wouldn't hesitate to purchase from RoadBikeOutlet again.

Kestrel bikes have been traditionally renowned for their superlative performance, dependable quality and high speed. Kestrel Talon Road 105 has taken the superfast bike market to a new level and raised the bar for its competitors in terms of performance. It is the perfect road bike for someone who is looking for a professional machine that delivers all what it promises. The bike is equally good for competitive performers as well as for the casual weekend road riders. In any case, it is bound to race ahead of its companions even at the club.

Talon 105 has set new standards for the industry with its high-performance 700K carbon frame technology. It gives this carbon road bike a considerable edge over even its most formidable competitors in the business. The convenient modular design of this bike enables the user to switch between different configurations according to the situation. Whether it is road biking, or performing at a time trial or competing in a triathlon event, the Talon lets you make the transition with perfect ease and smoothness. The aero seat of the bike offers dual positioning and there are extra bars that can be added or removed as per the requirements of the event.

If you take a preliminary look at this model, it gives the impression of a sophisticated triathlon bike. The bike offers high adaptability in different conditions with its monocoque design frame that can be pliable when required for riding comfort, and hard when needed for speed and performance.

Kestrel Talon Road 105 has been designed for speed and competitive performance, and it has a strong capacity for climbing too. Its versatile capabilities make it equally popular among competitive bikers, triathlon and time trial participants and the weekend club bikers. The bike comes pre-assembled and needs very little assembly to done by the owner. Overall, this high-performance road bike packs a lot of power for a fairly low market price, which makes it a deal worth considering.

While the 2010 2.0 Aloha retails for $1389, what comes under the chassis is well worth the monetary value. Constructed of a Fuji Altair 2 frame and alloy aerobar, competitors can take off in a quick split and maintain ultimate aerodynamic positioning. With the wind-cheating quality of the custom frame and bonded aero carbon fork to eliminate the slowing vibrations from the road or trail, it is guaranteed t give you a stellar ride.

Sporting a Shimano 18-speed drive train, the 2.0 puts ease in shifting on hills as well as flat surfaces at your fingertips. The handle bar is placed perfectly for comfort and coupled with the carbon seat-post who says you cannot combine both comfort and enhanced speed into one tri bike. Beneath the frame are two Kenda Kontender tires that grip any terrain and offer exceptional handling on turns and straightaway. Throw in the Fuji CGC Aero Rims, which offer styling and speed and you have the ultimate construction.

Make a wise investment and purchase a triathlon bike that is reliable and offers unmatched performance. While you must have the skill and endurance necessary to win the race, coupling your skill with this fine piece of equipment will ensure you the best in training and results. Do your research and make a wise selection. ?

Many users reported that the strengths of the bike are its durable frame and comfortable ride. Some drawbacks were lack of smoothness or a lag in shifting and the actual placement of the down tube shifters claiming that they can be bumped with the knees. Many reviewers were first time road bike owners and commented on the great price combined with value in features. Many said it was an excellent entry-level bike for novice or intermediate road riders. Other positive comments are that the bike is ultra light and easy to carry, great braking capabilities, smooth ride and easy setup. Additional negative comments included a sticky or clunky shifting, practical but ineffective shifter placement, geared more for racing than novice or intermediate riding, and pedals do not accommodate toe clips.

The most frequent comment from users came back to the price of the bike, which was thought to be reasonable across all reviews. Compared to many other professional race bikes on the market, the price of the 500 dollar 4.0 is incredibly reasonable. Buyers can expect to pay at least 3 times that for models that are slightly more sophisticated from other manufacturers. For example, a 2010 Shimano Ultegra, which has similar features and construction to the 4.0, however it retails for up to 2,000 dollars. Overall, the Newest 4.0 has a good array of practical and useful features for the more economical price.

Consumers should always research a reliable road bike review prior to investing in a high ticket item. The Cannondale Quick 6 is one of the newer models to hit the market from this cycling beast, and impresses riders and biking experts alike with its combination of comfort, performance and pricing.
The design of the Quick 6 is perhaps the finest attribute to its popularity. With new and innovative techniques and technology, Cannondale has crossed industrial design with street bikes like never before. Available in fiber, alloy or carbon, this model is extremely performance-oriented with its own BB30 Integration of a shell. The shell is not only lightweight, but also extremely durable and allows for riders to get a significant power transfer during their ride.
While the Cannondale Quick 6 is a fitness bike and not a mountain bike, it does not compromise its lightweight design by eliminating performance features that would be expected on any Cannondale model. The Hollowgram, which has been labeled the lighte

st crank on the market, is cleverly implemented to add high-performance features for all-purpose riders. Another technolog

y taken from their other model, the Synapse, the Quick is now sporting SAVE features to reduce and eliminate the vibration of a ride, while keeping the stiffness riders need to maintain power for long distances.
Aside from the technology used in the industrial design, a road bike review should also speak a bit about the specifications that offer the rider comfort. The saddle, which is generally the most important feature in providing comfort, is a Cannondale Quick Ergo Comfort and is intelligently padded to conform to any riders rear end. The built-in headset semi-integrated thread-less also provides riders with enjoyable listening features.
Making smart investments in this turbulent economy is essential. For a high-performance and efficient ride, consider choosing the Quick 6 as your street bike of choice. With advances in technology and a commitment for the best in quality, Cannondale sticks to its promise for the consumers.

With a name like DC/PK Ripper Fixed Gear you have to assume you are getting a product that is made to wreck the competition—whatever the competition is.

With a name like DC/PK Ripper Fixed Gear you have to assume you are getting a product that is made to wreck the competition—whatever the competition is. In this case, you are talking about a bicycle. And this is not your everyday bicycle. It is designed and equipped to outride the competition leaving them in a trail of orange and white dust. But before you race out to purchase it, take a moment to educate yourself on the specifications that make this bike unique.

Fixed Gear Bicycles can be challenging to learn. If you are not familiar with how they work, it is not simply a single gear bike for pedaling around the flat city streets. Get to know the fixed gear review. This kind has pedals that always move in sync with the motion of the tires. Unlike the everyday ten-speed cycles, if you pedal a fixed gear backwards, you can ride it in reverse. Cruising down steep hills too is a bit different. If you are used to simply coasting, you cannot do so with this gear arrangement. The pedals always move with the tires. Practice is necessary for a new rider. But for the experienced cyclist the benefits of a fixed gear are only the beginning of this bikes story.

The frame is made from Aluminum Floval Tubing, a lightweight, sturdy metal construction. The Rush brake system stops on a dime. While you will need to get your own pedals if you ride with clips and shoes, if you like the free foot experience, the custom pedals have great grip. The entire bicycle is made for speed and, of course, to draw attention. With its DC Neon Orange paint, it is hard to miss the zippy machine racing about town.

With a price tag of one thousand dollars, this bike is for serious riders and collectors only. Become familiar with a few DC/PK Ripper review sites so you can be sure this is the bike for you. It does have a wide range of Seat Tube Lengths for shorter bodied riders and taller folks as well, making it accessible to most people. If you have not enjoyed a fixed gear bicycle before, go to a bike shop and experiment with a few before making the commitment. But remember, this is a limited addition cycle. Each one is individually numbered. When they sell the final frame, they will never be made again.

The Kestrel RT800 allows the rider to transfer more power to the rear wheel, and it has a stiffer ride as well as a higher overall component group. When you order your bike, it will be delivered in the original packaging. The derailleur’s, crank, shifters, as well as the rear brakes and headset will already be assembled upon delivery and attached to the frame. The cables are routed through the frame of the bike, to allow for a smoother wind resistant ride. When it comes to competitive cycling every little bit counts.

You will have to do a little assembly once your bike has been shipped. You will have to mount install the front fork, and mount the caliper, as well as the handlebar and seat. If you do not consider yourself one of those people who can easily build things, or in this case put things together, the instructions and other documents are included. The Kestrel guide is very detailed; it even has torque specs for the seat post and clamp. There are also instructions for the installation of the derailleur and brake cable routing. The manufacture has even included two bottles of touch up paint, just encase.

Included with your Kestrel RT800 you will find an adapter that will allow the use of most standard 27.2mm seat post, if you decided that you do not want to use the standard aero post that comes with the bike.

For all of you hardcore biking enthusiasts I have included some specifications and a little geometry information in this Kestrel RT800 review. The bike color is black, white, and green, the size ranges from 48-51-53-55-57-59 and 62CM. It weighs 17.8 pounds; the handlebar is crafted from the highest quality - Kestrel EMS Pro 31.8MM - with gel.

The bike fork is an EMS Pro SL Carbon Steerer 1 1/8”, the step is a profile Cobra OS, the included headset is an Orbit Z Deep Cup, w/14mm Carbon Top Cover. The shifters, brake levers, front der., rear der. bottom bracket, crankset, chain, cassette, and brakes are all SHIMANO 105 BLACK.

Kestrel has, and still remains, the leader among bike enthusiast. They are well known for creating the first carbon bike and their innovative designs. The Kestrel RT800 is, no matter how you research it a, much better bike for the price, as compared to its counterparts. Kestrel always will be the choice of bikes for hard-core cycling enthusiasts. This model gets five stars for this road bike review.
